If we go 25 kilometers from the Vadu Izei along the Sight-Sadu Mare county road, we come to a place near the Ukranian border on the northwestern side of Romania called Sapanta.[adsense] This place is already mentioned in a document dated back in the 14th century. This site is mainly famous for its monumental structure The Happy Cemetery, which is also known as the Folk Art Museum. The history goes as once upon a time, there was an old church which was burnt down in a fire and many people got buried down into the ruins, though in its place, a new one was reconstructed which served the social purpose.

Auschwitz Camp is one of the Nazi’s notorious mass extermination and concentration camps. It was located in a town called Oswiecim, from which it derives its name, 50 kilometers on the western side of Krakow while 286 kilometers on the southern side of Warsaw, Poland.[adsense]
After the Nazis invaded Germany in the month of September, of the year 1939, the town along with some of the surrounding areas was merged together and was renamed as the Auschwitz. Since Auschwitz was the middle intersection point for many Polish cities, the idea of turning it into a concentration camp was first initiated by the Gestapo Inspector “SS-Oberfuhrer Wiegand”. It was thought of as the ultimate position for bringing in the prisoners from the regions around to work in the camp.

Alcatraz, which was previously named by the Spanish as “Isla de los Alcatraces” meaning “Island of the Pelicans” for the large number of the bird species present on the island, was already believed to been home of evil spirits by the native Americans, and were home to large number of criminal outlaws.[adsense]
When the Mexican-American War, taking place in California, ended in the year 1848, USA took control over it and understanding the island’s strategic position for the defense of the San Francisco Bay, a fortress was decided to be built over the sandstone outcropping of 1853. A round wall of stone and brick  was built around the island, with offices, barracks, temporary wharfs and shops  in it.

Joelma Building is the famous 25 storied skyscraper located in Sao Polo Brazil, exactly based in “225 Avenida 9 de Julho”. It is one of the most memorable tragedies that ever took place in Brazil.[adsense] At the time of the fire, the building was built of armored concrete, specifically fire-resistant but the only the fact that it had flammable items as its furniture, desks, chairs, even cubicle partitions, etc while the ceiling was made of tiles, prepared from cellulose fiber tiles, strapped in wood. Even the carpets and curtains were made of flammable substances.
The building was very weak when it came to fire safety and precaution. It had no emergency exits, no fire extinguishers, no fire alarms and no fire sprinkler systems available in the office. The only way out was the stairway, leaving no other evacuation plan in hand. None of the precautions were taken if a fire ever broke out.

Well, we have the answer to this query of yours.[adsense] That place with scary statues is Easter Island and is located in the South Pacific. It is one of the most least visited and isolated islands in the world. The island ‘s population which only consisted of a few thousand inhabitants has also been eliminated by western diseases. Some of them have also been taken away by slave traders. In fact in the year 1877, only 110 people were left on this island out of the indigenous population.
